Craftsmanship Forges Quality Choices: An Analysis of the Production Process of Stainless Steel Wire-Drawn Panels
29/10/2025
Carefully Selected Base Materials: Laying a Solid Foundation for Quality

A good product starts with good raw materials. We carefully select SUS304 austenitic stainless steel as the base material. Its excellent ductility can effectively avoid problems such as cracks and deformation during the wire-drawing process, ensuring product stability from the source.

As soon as raw materials enter the factory, a "full-dimensional quality inspection" is initiated:

· Panels with a thickness range of 0.5-25mm undergo fine processing by a heavy-duty stretching and leveling machine, ensuring the straightness deviation is ≤0.3mm/m, so every panel has a flat "base".

· Meanwhile, through a 45℃ constant-temperature chemical degreasing process, surface oxide scales and rolling oil films are accurately removed within 15 minutes. Combined with an ultra-low dust environment (≤3mg/m³) in the workshop, impurity interference is eliminated, clearing obstacles for subsequent processing.

Precision Wire-Drawing: Customizing Diverse Textures

The core wire-drawing process is the key stage for shaping the "appearance and performance" of stainless steel wire-drawn panels. Relying on automated production lines, we create differentiated processing solutions for different texture requirements:

· Straight-Grain Wire-Drawing: Using 120-180 grit sanding belts, longitudinal friction is carried out at a stable speed of 8-12m/min, with the pressure roller pressure precisely controlled at 0.15-0.25MPa. The resulting texture is neat and smooth, suitable for scenarios such as home appliance panels and furniture decorations.

· Chaotic-Grain (Harmonious-Grain) Wire-Drawing: With the help of 6-axis linkage equipment, the grinding head swings irregularly to form a unique circular texture, infusing an artistic touch into high-end decorations.

· Curved Surface Customization: An innovative intermittent wire-drawing method is adopted—each contact time is ≤0.5 seconds, with a 3-5 second interval for cooling. Even for complex curved components, uniform texture consistency can be ensured.

A full-process reciprocating cooling system controls the temperature in real time, ensuring the processing temperature does not exceed 60℃ to avoid thermal deformation of the material. This guarantees that every inch of the texture is both aesthetically pleasing and durable.

Strict Quality Inspection: Safeguarding Every Trust

Quality is the lifeline of a product. After wire-drawing, panels must undergo "three rounds of strict inspection" before leaving the factory:

1. Texture Precision Inspection: A digital microscopy system compares the texture spacing point by point, with the tolerance strictly controlled within ±0.02mm to ensure uniform texture.

1. Roughness Inspection: A stylus profilometer performs precise measurements. For industrial-grade products, the Ra value is stably maintained at 0.4-0.8μm; for precision decorative parts, it even reaches 0.2-0.4μm, ensuring a delicate and smooth touch.

1. Color Difference and Defect Inspection: The professional CIE LAB color difference system is used. Products with a ΔE value exceeding 0.8 are directly reworked. At the same time, issues such as intermittent stripes and local darkening are fully checked to prevent defective products from entering the market.

Qualified products are vacuum-packaged with barrier PE film and paired with scratch-resistant liners, ensuring the texture remains intact during transportation—so every panel received by customers is as perfect as the day it was made.

Technological Upgrades: Expanding Application Boundaries

With continuous technological iteration, our stainless steel wire-drawn panels have broken through traditional application scenarios:

· Conventional products are widely used in fields such as architectural decoration, home appliance manufacturing, and high-end kitchenware, with their market share continuously rising.

· The innovatively developed anodized wire-drawing process, through special oxide film treatment, greatly improves corrosion resistance, successfully expanding applications to harsh environments such as marine engineering and low-temperature storage tanks.

· Although the wire-drawing process causes a 0.1-0.2mm loss in panel thickness, far superior wear resistance and decorativeness compared to bright-surface stainless steel, making it a preferred alternative material in many fields.

From daily home use to industrial heavy equipment, from urban buildings to high-end machinery—every stainless steel wire-drawn panel represents the precise alignment of craftsmanship and needs, and is a testament to quality and trust. Choosing our stainless steel wire-drawn panels means choosing refinement, durability, and peace of mind!
