The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) recently stated that due to the huge impact of Covid-19 epidemic on the global economy, global stainless steel consumption is expected to decrease by 3.47 million tons compared with the previous year in 2020, a drop of nearly 7.8% to 41.24 million tons.
ISSF also predicts that in 2021, stainless steel consumption in all regions of the world will resume due to the end of the new crown virus epidemic. Consumption is expected to increase by 3.28 million tons, an increase of nearly 8%, to 44.52 million tons.
